Copy Trading Guidelines

Copy Trading Guidelines

Deposit and Withdrawal Risk Advisory:

Copy traders are advised to refrain from depositing or withdrawing funds while holding positions. Such actions can alter the copy trader’s fund ratio, causing a discrepancy with followers' funds and potentially affecting subsequent copying of positions.

Position Mode:

Copy traders can utilize any position mode (uni-directional or bi-directional). The platform will mirror the copy trader’s position mode for followers. However, for enhanced flexibility, it is recommended that copy traders adjust their position mode to bi-directional before opening positions.

Real Leverage Ratio:

– (1) If a follower’s real leverage ratio exceeds 30, the follower will no longer be able to copy additional positions. Copy traders should monitor their real leverage ratio to avoid opening high-leverage positions with significant funds.

– (2) Real leverage ratio = Position value / Follower’s account balance.

Capital Disparity:

Significant differences in capital between copy traders and followers may lead to followers assuming excessive risk, resulting in delayed or incomplete copying of positions.

Copy Trading Method:

Currently, contract copy trading exclusively supports API-based methods. Copy traders applying for copy trading projects must provide read-only API access for the corresponding exchange accounts supported by the platform.

Applying for API Permissions Configuration

API permissions are chosen by the user. Followers only require "Read" permissions, while leaders need both "Read" and "Trade" permissions.

Is it necessary to provide an IP address whitelist when applying for API?

Both followers and leaders need to provide the IP whitelist information to improve data transmission speed.

Can the same API be used for following?

No, the same API cannot be used for following. Each time a new following product is added, a different account or sub-account is needed to create a new API. Forgetting to switch accounts will result in the API not being successfully bound.

What is Invitation Code Following? How do I get an Invitation Code?

Invitation Code Following is a special following method created by the leader, where only specific invitation codes can be used to become a follower. To obtain an invitation code, you need to contact the leader, who will distribute it accordingly.

How do I set up an Invitation Code for Following?

Once the following project is created, click on the "Settings" icon in the following details to create the invitation code and adjust the following parameters accordingly.

Is the account balance zero when copying orders?

The copying account is in the OKX account, and funds need to be transferred to the 'Trading Account'. Sub-accounts also need to be transferred to the 'Trading Account'. After successful transfer, return to the MyToken order copying page and refresh to obtain the account balance。

Why does the account show zero profit after successfully copying orders?

In the order replication logic of MyTokeng, new followers can only start copying opening positions when the leader's account is in a position-free state, ensuring smooth replication. If the leader's account still holds open trades when the replication is successful, new followers must wait for the leader to close their positions before receiving the signal to replicate opening positions.
