Wallet

A wallet is a software program or hardware device that stores digital assets. It is similar in form to an online banking account (but fundamentally different from a bank account) and also includes customer identification, account numbers, and passwords. The password for a digital wallet is the “private key,” which is required to access and operate the wallet.
